Description This is a detail from a pair of 1871 lithographs of the old and new Trent Bridges. The new bridge, designed by Marriott Ogle Tarbotton, was opened in that year, when the two bridges stood briefly side by side. The old bridge was dismantled shortly after the new one was built.
