Description |
English: A metal grate along the side of the sidewalk provides for drainage. Bathhouse Row. The drainage grates along the main sidewalk were most likely installed during the 1920s-1930s, when the Magnolia Promenade sidewalk was twice replaced. New concrete curbs and gutters were installed due to flooding, and then a new hot water distribution system was added. The current bronze drains were installed in 1990 during a reconstruction project and retain sufficient integrity to be considered contributing.
