English: Tree shadow, Princesshay car park http://www.exeter.gov.uk/media/pdf/0/g/Princesshay_Summary.pdf implies that only a tree preservation order saved the beech that casts the left-hand shadow, and the curving wall was designed to accommodate it. In which case, my thought at 631548 that the effect "was more than serendipity" may be wide of the mark. Whatever, it's hard to avoid repeatedly photographing it, especially in winter when the sun is low. See also 628169 and 1058486. |
