English: Métro parisien. "Travaux du métro. Place de l'Opéra, ouvrage de superposition des 3 lignes. Vers Courcelles. Paris (IXème arr.)". Photographie de Charles Maindron (1861-1940). Tirage au gélatino-chlorure d’argent développé. 16 avril 1900. Paris, musée Carnavalet. Français : C'est un chantier de Léon Chagnaud, ingénieur arts et métiers très novateur et homme politique. Il a à son actif la construction des grands collecteurs de Clichy et du parc agricole d'Athènes et bien d'autres chantiers gigantesques où il a très souvent employé la voie de 60 et l'air comprimé. Éric Fresné en a parlé dans Voie Libre N°108. Chagnaud à également participé au creusement du tunnel du Loetchberg. Là encore la traction à air comprimé avait la part belle. |
