Jordan Byrd Trauma Center at Forward Operating Base Sharana, March 1. The trauma center is named for TF Currahee medic who died in Paktika province, Oct. 13, 2010 while administering life-saving medical treatment to a wounded soldier while shielding him with his own body from direct fire from insurgents. |
