Nederlands: De hoeve "D' Eyck" staat reeds afgebeeld op de aanlegschets van de Tiensesteenweg (1710).
De schuur van deze typisch Brabantse hoeve bestaat nog met muurgedeelten uit 1661. Het geheel is opgetrokken in gesloten bouworde. In het midden van de 18de eeuw behoorde het pachthof toe aan de erfgenamen Aerts. Marinus Aerts was in de periode rond 1729 meier van Korbeek-Lo. In het begin van de 20ste eeuw stond de hoeve, omwille van haar ruime stallingen en haar zeer grote schuur, model voor andere boerderijen. De langslopende Veulestraat werd omgedoopt tot Eikstraat. De hoeve, voorzien van een mooi duivenhok met torenspits, is momenteel bezit van de familie Trappeniers. Actuele verkavelingsplannen bedreigen deze prachtige hoeve en bijhorende gronden. Aan de overzijde van de Oudebaan, op de hoek met de Witteweg, staat een stemmig kapelletje, door de familie Trappeniers gebouwd na de restauratie van hun pachthof. |
