Description

Installation présentée dans le cadre de l'édition 2012 d'Art Souterrain

Zone 7: Centre CDP Capital

La démarche se veut une description phénoménologique des lieux, des moments et des rencontres par rapport à l’esprit qui les perçoit. Le spectateur vivra une expérience qui peut être partagée, il se voit alors observé, comme la figure de la sculpture. Ce mouvement l’entraîne à comparer et confondre le regard qu’il pose sur la sculpture et le regard que l’on pose sur lui. Cela l’entraîne à identifier la situation du personnage à la sienne, soit d’être un objet pour le regard d’autrui dans les lieux de passage de la ville.

Maria Eugenia Poblete a obtenu un baccalauréat en beaux-arts au Chili et une maîtrise en arts visuels et médiatiques à Montréal. Son travail s’inspire d’une construction d’un soi dans son rapport à autrui et de la fusion entre l’art et la vie.
