Description
English: Transdev London SP1 (YN56 FCA), a Scania OmniCity, in Park Lane, Westminster, London, on route 148. These OmniCitys were some of the first built, when the type was in limited production. Early examples entered service with Lothian Buses and Transdev London. It is easy to tell them apart from standard production versions, as the standard production versions are fitted with the newer style Scania headlights. This limited production version was of quite a low height, which TfL did not like, and in 2010 these buses were moved off route 148, to a less high-profile route. The Scania N230UB/Optare Olympus buses that ran the 148 alongside the early OmniCitys left the fleet at the same time as they were no longer wanted. Newer OmniCitys now run on the route.
