Lord Bradston fought at Crecy.As Governor of Gloucester, he erected the city walls, and isthought to have given the east window of the Cathedral in WlNTERBOURNE. 3 memory of his friend and companion-in-arms, Sir MauriceBerkeley, who died during the siege of Calais.
