ity. The mining-operations in this district are quite extensive,and various deposits of iron-, manganese- and copper-ores are exploited. Fig. 2 indicates the location of all the principal ore-depositsin the district. M anganese-Ores. All of the deposits of manganese-ores now being operatedare in the San Luis District, and comprise the Ponupo group,the Boston mines, and the Ysabelita group. The last twogrups of mines were not being operated at the time of my visit,hut it is reported that they have been installed with a fairlycomplete equipment of railways, washers and concentrators.
