English: Trans Pennine Trail sign, Dunford Bridge Travelling the trail west to east we have just descended 1.6 miles into Dunford Bridge on the road from its Pennine summit at 430 metres above sea level. Dunford Bridge is at the eastern end of the Woodhead Tunnel and it is here, near the old station, where we pick up the disused railway line to follow the Don Valley towards Penistone. |
