| Description |
English: Tram near Central Pier, Blackpool No 167 was one of a batch of eight similar cars delivered in the late 1920s for service between North Station and Fleetwood. When new, they were fitted with pantographs, and although these were quickly replaced by trolley poles (with fixed-head trolleys), the name 'Pantograph' stuck as a class-name for these cars. The last were not withdrawn from regular service until the 1970s, but No 167 was preserved. To work on the Promenade, as here, it will have had to be fitted with a swivel-head trolley. |
