| Description |
Français : Une partie du poulet est mise dans la gamelle et la décoction médicamenteuse constituée d’une racine spéciale écrasée et trempée dans le vin de palme est mise dans la bouteillette du malade. Le tout est remis au malade par un rituel exigeant au malade de les arracher des mains du traitant. Le malade prend congé quand le traitant lui donne les dernières directives relatives aux interdits à suivre et les règles à respecter afin que le traitement évolue convenablement. Puis commence alors la phase de suivi qui finira par wutômia (pas d'équivalent en français).
Wutômia est le dernier rituel du traitement. Lorsque la guérison est obtenue, c’est wutômia qui est effectué. C’est le rituel au cours duquel on casse les interdits donnés au malade pendant afin qu’il reprenne une vie normale.

| Description |
Français : Certaines pratiques médicales traditionnelles ont la capacité thérapeutique dans la prise en charge d’une panoplie de maladies au rang desquelles la sinusite, quelque soit sa gravité, sans intervention chirurgicale par le peuple uki. C’est un traitement diurne qui se déroule dans un endroit sacré accessible appelé itōh.
Le traitement présenté ici est réalisé en juin 2017 par TCHOU AMBATA sur un malade au quartier Fuata du village Egona 1, dans l’Arrondissement de Bafia, Département du Mbam et Inoubou, Région du Centre, République du Cameroun.
