Description
Français : Lorsque le poulet s’envole,il est alors possible au traitant d'engager le traitement. Il verse alors une décoction d'hysope (ndiômô) pour purification sur la tête du malade, masse celle-ci avec un coussin confectionné d’herbes médicinales, prend la décoction médicamenteuse préparée et verse quelques gouttes dans chaque narine du patient dans une forme d'entonnoir appelée ndôkôtô faite uniquement de feuilles. La décoction médicamenteuse est constituée d'une racine spéciale creusée au sol et pilée, puis mise à macérer dans du vin de palme recueilli le palmier debout et appelé généralement "haut".

Français : Certaines pratiques médicales traditionnelles ont la capacité thérapeutique dans la prise en charge d’une panoplie de maladies au rang desquelles la sinusite, quelle que soit sa gravité, sans intervention chirurgicale par le peuple uki. C’est un traitement diurne qui se déroule dans un endroit sacré accessible appelé itōh. Le traitement présenté ici est réalisé en juin 2017 par TCHOU AMBATA sur un malade au quartier Fuata du village Egona 1, dans l’Arrondissement de Bafia, Département du Mbam et Inoubou, Région du Centre, République du Cameroun.
