Gare de Speicher en 1978

La ligne du Trogenerbahn a été construite en 1903, à voie métrique, sa longueur et de 9,8 Kilomètres. A son origine, ce train était un chemin de fer entièrement routier, actuellement il est en site propre en parallèle à la route, sauf en ville de Saint-Gall.

Ce chemin de fer est le plus raide de Suisse, sans crémaillère, avec des pentes à 75%
