La ligne de l'Aigle-Sepey-Diablerets a été construite en 1914, à voie métrique, sa longueur et de 22 Kilomètres. Cette ligne est la plus menacée de disparition de Suisse, car depuis 1985, elle ne bénéficie plus de la couverture des déficits de la Confédération, elle existe encore grace au soutien financier du canton de Vaud et des communes riveraines. (Mais pour combien de temps encore ?)
