Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Train on the Looe Valley Railway Line. This single track railway line was opened in 1860 to replace a canal along the valley bottom. The railway itself is built along the course of the canal. Originally the line ended at Moorswater to the south of Liskeard. It crossed the main railway line but a long way below it at the bottom of the Mooreshead Viaduct. A link line was built in 1901 which climbs uphill to joint the branch line with the main line at Liskeard Station.
