Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Train at Clontarf Road station - (1)
There was a railway station at Clontarf between 1898 and 1956 but, from the mid-1950s, an adjacent site (known as Fairview) was used by the GNR and CIÉ for railcar servicing. Today, IÉ use Fairview for EMU maintenance. Clontarf Road station opened in 1997. Forming the 08.55 Bray – Balbriggan passenger service, one of IÉ’s EMD built 201 class diesel locomotives hauls a rake of MkIII push-pull stock past Fairview and into Clontarf Road station.
