Description
English: An instructor from the American University of Antigua applies moulage makeup to Kevon Warner, a lifeguard with the Antigua and Barbuda Ministry of Tourism before a mass casualty training exercise here on June 4. Warner and several other lifeguards volunteered as role players, simulating injured plane crash survivors during an Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF) training exercise. The exercise tested the response capabilities of local emergency services and ABDF members in search and rescue, medical triage, and treatment tactics and procedures as part of Tradewinds 2014. Tradewinds is a joint, combined exercise conducted in conjunction with partner nations to enhance the collective abilities of defense forces and constabularies to counter transnational organized crime and to conduct humanitarian/disaster relief operations.
