House of New Scarlet Bedding Geranium ALPHONSE RICCARD. Illustrating how our Geraniums are grown for propagating. The best scarlet Bruant for bedding. Double Bruants. Especially desirable as Bedders, Alphonse Riccard. Semi-double Bruant, color bright vermilion-scarlet. Dwarf, very vigorous habit. Large trusses, measuring from 4 to 7% inches in diameter; floret large, sometimes exceeding 2 inches in diameter. The finest large flowered scarlet Bruant that has been introduced, and we deem it the best bedding scarlet. The trusses are on strong footstalks, and so freely produced as to nearly conceal the foliage. It is a constant bloomer, almost very joint producing a flower stem. We have a large, healthy and true stock of this variety from 2% inch pots at $5.00 per 100, $40.00 per 1000. Mme. Jaulin. Semi-double Bruant. Color delicate, peach-pink; centre similar to Daybreak carnation, with wide border of white. Unrivaled for fresh- ness and beauty. Florets are very large, pro- duced in enormous trusses ; semi-dwarf, compact, exceptionally vigorous habit, with broad, deep zoned foliage. A splendid bloomer—one of the most valuable and striking geraniums of recent introduction. Will prove a good bedder where a delicate shade is desired, and is one of the best fancy Bruants for spring sales. Will entirely supplant Gloire de France. $5.00 per 100. Double Gen. Grant. Semi-double, clear orange-scarlet. An old, well known variety, probably more used for bedding than any other variety in commerce. $3.00 per 100. James Vick. Type of Beaute Poitevine and a profuse bloomer; very fine. $3.00 per 100. John Doyle. Strong, vigorous grower, throwing its truss well above the foliage. Truss of largest size, color the richest scarlet, bright and effective. Highly commended for bedding purposes. $1.00 per doz.; $6.00 per 100. J.J. Harrison. Semi-double Bruant. Brilliant capu- cine-scarlet; immense individual floret, 2% inches in diameter. Large truss. Vigorous dwarf grower. $4.00 per 100. Beaute Poitevine. Semi-double Bruant. This variety is conceded to be the best semi-double salmon- pink geranium in existence for bedding purposes. What Alphonse Biccard is to scarlet geraniums, Beaute Poitevine is to the salmons. Undoubtedly the most profuse bloomer and unexcelled for sell- ing in the spring or for bedding. We have a splendid stock of this variety and will be able to fill large orders at $3 per 100, $25 per 1000.
