English: Senior Aircraftsman Tech James Reid (left) watches over Sgt. Scott McLean (right), as he lowers himself into a manmade underground area to install 1,500 meters of fiber optic copper cable to extend communication services into the area for British personnel at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, Oct. 3, 2012. Both are with Trade Group 4 Aerial Erectors, Tactical Communication Wing, British Royal Air Force out of Leeming, England and travels all over Afghanistan ensuring Internet and phone communications are properly installed for British personnel during deployment. They are using personal protective equipment from GOTCHA, a pre-rigged rescue system incorporating a 50-meter orange rope pulley system and remote reach extendable pole. Comes complete with attachment sling, automatic casualty grabber and waterproof rucksack.
