Summary
[edit]DescriptionTrack to Braunston - geograph.org.uk - 652058.jpg |
English: Track to Braunston This track follows the line of Braunston canal tunnel deep below; the brick structure is a ventilation shaft. As the tunnel has no towpath, in the days of horse-drawn boats, the horses would have been led this way while a team of 'leggers' propelled the boat. The spire of Braunston church can be seen in the distance. |
