| Description | A Sunday morning visit to Cardiff Central produced some interesting sights, a something a bit different. Engineering work (including use of a road-rail digger) was taking place at the end of Platforms 0-2, meaning that trains were being routed via Platforms 3-7. A series of engineering-related trains made their way through the station from the west - using Platform 4. As a tamping machine passes through the station a fair number of people are waiting for various trains. Most are catching the 10:16 service to London Paddington (starting at Cardiff and running as ECS from Swansea due to industrial action), whilst others are waiting for the Pembroke Coast Express charter train. |
