English: Track along disused railway line in Fenn's Wood This track through Fenn's Wood at the northern edge of Fenn's Moss runs along the former Oswestry, Ellesmere and Whitchurch railway line, which opened in 1863 and closed in 1962. The section across the bog was bedded on heather, peat, bundles of faggots & sand, and has a pair of parallel drainage ditches on either side. The birch logs are from birch clearance by English Nature to restore the bog environment. View from the junction with the public footpath running east--west (right).
