Français : Exposition d'une partie du trésor de Lentilly au musée des beaux-arts pour l'exposition "Claude, un empereur au destin singulier".
Ce trésor monétaire a été trouvé en 1866 sur la commune de Lentilly (Rhône). Les quelques 210 monnaies d'or (aurei) contenues dans un vase en terre cuite furent probablement enfouies avant la réforme monétaire de Néron en 64. les émissions couvrent une période d'une cinquantaine d'années, de Tibère à Néron. La découverte fut immédiatement dispersée et le musée de Lyon put acquérir 18 des plus beaux et rares aurei (un a disparu avant 1936). |
