Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Tràigh na h-Uamhag I had always assumed that the name of this beach had something to do with the Gaelic 'uamh', meaning 'cave', but my dictionary tells me that 'uamhag' means a tick. I can't imagine that this would have been called 'beach of the tick'! If any Gaelic speaker is able to enlighten me I'd be very grateful.
