Description "Herber Tower (aka Heber Tower) was built as part of the Town Walls in Newcastle in the late 13th century. In 1827 Eneas Mackenzie wrote: "Herber Tower is the meeting-house of the Felt-makers, Curriers, and Armourers, at whose expense it was repaired in 1620. It is called, in the books of this society, 'Harbot Tower'." The section of the Town Walls with Morden, Heber and Ever Towers is Grade I listed on the National Heritage List for England" co curate
