| Description |
English: Town Hall clock tower The Town Hall and covered market, built in the style of the continental Hotel de Villes, was completed in 1870. Its verdigris tower is a well-known landmark. The clock was donated by the ironmaster, Crawshay Bailey.
Tuesday is the main produce market but the Market Hall is also used for antique fairs, farmers' markets, craft fairs, auctions and the Food Festival. |
