English: Town Hall Square, Rochdale, Lancashire A comparison with my 1951 photograph will show that the Flying Horse hotel and the Empire Cinema are still in business. The Central Hotel has been radically rebuilt. There are a few less mill chimneys and a cleaner atmosphere - but many more motor cars, of types that now look antiquated, are to be seen, in this 1964 photograph. |
