Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Town Falls and bridge Upper side of the bridge viewed from The Corn Mill. The bridge was originally built in 1345 by John Trevor I, Bishop of St Asaph, and was the first stone bridge over the River Dee. It was rebuilt in Elizabethan times and that structure remains unaltered on the lower side and perfectly copied on the upper side when it was widened in 1873. Ten years earlier an arch was added to accommodate the new railway line into the town. It was further widened in 1969 to accommodate two lanes.
