Description
Deutsch: Der Turm 79 ist ein alter Silo für Bergematerial, mit dem die Schurenbachhalde aufgeschüttet wurde. Ayşe Erkmen, vergoldete anlässlich der Emscherkunst.2010 das Geländer auf dem Turm, um an das Grubengold, die Kohle, zu erinnern. Der Turm steht am südlichen Ufer des Rhein-Herne-Kanals auf Essener Stadtgebiet. 79 ist die Ordnungszahl des Goldes im Periodensystem der chemischen Elemente.
