Description

These buses took passengers of Adelaide Steamship Company vessels such as MV Moonta on day trips around Port Lincoln and into the surrounding countryside. The Ford parked on the left was operated by Mr Archie Patterson and the Commer on the right by Roy Merchant.

Source: Information provided by Mr Brian Hutt, a member of the Axel Stenross Maritime Museum, Port Lincoln. Hutt wrote to the Director of the History Trust, Margaret Anderson, on 14 May 2008.

The buses in the photograph suggests that it was taken c1950s. Images in the sequence beginning from GN14000 share characteristics common to the 1950s.
