Description
Français : La Tour de la Découverte n'est pas un phare mais une vigie. Aussi appelée tour des signaux au XVIIIe siècle, elle est construite en 1737. Elle est touchée par la foudre à plusieurs reprises en 1751, 1774, 1782. Son mauvais état oblige à la reconstruire en 1786.

Son architecte est Gervais Guillois.

Elle a à l'époque 115 pieds de haut, 25 pieds à la base et une plateforme de 26 pieds de diamètre.
