English: Tuesday 7 March 2014 at 2:47 pm. View southwards towards the College of Haringey Enfield and North East London (CHENEL) - and Seven Sisters tube station.
§ Take a virtual stroll with Google Earth around the "improved" Tottenham Green. § Compare and contrast with the older style in September 2009 using Google's timeline photos. Note that there's been a partial flattening of the previous gentle mounds and slopes in the western part of the Green, which now gives it a different look and feel. It seemed to me that, in the past and at least In the summer, the mounds encouraged people to sit on the grass. We'll have to wait and see how far this still happens as the weather improves and the trees reach their full leaf cover. My current impression is that the "makeover" might have damaged and partially lost the best feature of the western part of Tottenham Green. With all its faults it was a public open space with grass and trees - an emerald gem – in the heart of a busy built-up urban area.
