Description
Türkçe: Tortum Şelalesi, Tortum Gölü’nün Tev Vadisi’ndeki heyelan kütlesini aşarak dökülmesiyle oluşmuştur. 21 metre genişlik ve 48 metre yüksekliğe sahiptir. Şelalenin önünde yer alan izleme balkonu, ziyaretçilerin büyük ilgisini çekmektedir. İzleme merdivenlerinin nefes darlığı ve kalp rahatsızlıklarını önlediğine inanılmaktadır. Şelalenin ve çevresinin deniz seviyesinden yüksekliği yaklaşık 1000 metredir. 1700'lü yıllarda Kemerlidağ'dan ayrılan büyük heyelan kütlesinin Tortum Çay'ının aktığı Tev Vadisini kapatmasıyla oluşmuştur. Tortum Şelalesinin sularının düştüğü yerde dev bir kazan oluşturmuştur. Günümüzde su sporlarının yapılabileceği doğal bir ortam oluşmuştur.
