Description
Dansk: Alterbordsforside fra Torslunde Kirke på Sjælland. Tavlen viser hovedpunkterne i den protestantiske gudstjeneste: barnedåb, prædiken og nadver.Alterbordsforsiden fra Torslunde Kirke bærer en latinsk indskrift, som i oversættelse lyder: Denne tavle blev udsmykket efter råd af Hr. Johannes Jacobsen, præst ved denne kirke, i det Herrens år 1561. Kunstneren er ukendt, men forlægget for billedet er et stik af Lucas Cranach af den lutherske gudstjeneste sat op overfor en satirisk gengivelse af den katolske messe. Maleren i Torslunde nøjedes med at male den positive del, altså de centrale elementer i den lutherske gudstjeneste: de to sakramenter dåb og nadver, samt prædikenen. På det tyske propagandastik er det Luther selv, der står på prædikestolen, men i Torslunde er det en almindelig præst, som måske skal forestille sognepræsten Johannes Jacobsen. Datering: 1561.
