[edit]
Description
English: Torridonian Sandstone The east side of Achnahaird Bay is made up of strata of Torridonian sandstone laid down in ancient desert rivers over 1000 million years ago. This is called the Meall Dearg Formation, and it is the top part of the Stoer Group. Later tectonic movements have tilted the strata so that they now dip towards the west.
