Description

Italiano: Torre Sollima, porta il cognome della famiglia proprietaria nel XVI sec. Venne chiamata "saracena" probabilmente per indicare una struttura antica.

Venne eretta infatti agli inizi del '400 e aveva come scopo la difesa della costa e di rifugio durante le incursioni piratesche.

Nel 2001 è diventata una sezione del vicino Parco Letterario Salvatore Quasimodo: il poeta infatti durante la sua permanenza a Roccalumera era solito visitare questo luogo, meta di giochi durante l'infanzia e di riflessione da adulto, quando lì vi compose la poesia "Vicino ad una Torre Saracena per il fratello morto".
