Description

Torpedo boats in the wet dock, Norfolk Navy Yard, Va. On the left is the decommissioned USS San Francisco C-5 ( converted to a mine vessel in 1908, renamed USS Tahoe CM-2 and later USS Yosemite ) under going work and the Torpedo Boats ( at right ) include USS Rodgers TB-4, USS Porter TB-6, USS DuPont TB-7, USS Nicholson TB-29 and USS O'Brien TB-30. A panorama from two photos but the cameraman seems to have moved the tripod and the foreground would not correctly align that that created distortion in the curve of the wet dock, plus the right side photo has a different exposure and focus. several post cards have been created using the photo at right
