– Das Foto zeigt den Wohntrakt, der zur ehemaligen Esinger Windmühle gehörte. Die Windmühle selbst war zu der Zeit schon abgebaut. Die reich dekorierte vorgesetzte Fassade des Gebäudes orientierte sich an Industriebauten der Gründerzeit. Für Esingen war diese Bauform einzigartig. Kurze Zeit nach dem Aufnahmedatum wurde das Haus abgerissen. – Die Esinger Windmühle (Galerie-Holländer) wurde 1891 gebaut und nach einem Brand 1893 neu errichtet. Sie wurde von wechselnden Eigentümern betrieben. Der letzte Betreiber ließ die Ruten herunternehmen und arbeitete ausschließlich mit Motorkraft. Nach 1938 hat man die Mühle nur noch als Lager genutzt. – The photo shows the residential area that belonged to the former Esinger windmill. The windmill itself was already removed at the time. The richly decorated facade of the building was based on industrial buildings of the Wilhelminian era. For Esingen, this design was unique. Shortly after the shooting date, the house was demolished. – The Esinger windmill (Gallery Dutch) was built in 1891 and rebuilt after a fire in 1893. It was operated by changing owners. The last operator let down the rods and worked exclusively with engine power. After 1938, the mill was only used as a warehouse. The mill stump was still preserved in the 1970s.
