This is a photograph of an architectural monument. It is on the list of cultural monuments of Tornesch, no. 8557. Deutsch: Ostermannscher Hof - Riedweg 3 - Tornesch-Esingen (Schleswig-Holstein) - Foto 2008. - Das 1738 errichtete Haus ist das älteste Gebäude der Stadt Tornesch (Hofstelle Nr. 4, Esingen). Es ist ein reetgedecktes Zweiständer-Fachhallenhaus (acht Fach lang) in Form eines Durchfahrtshauses. Ein Kuhstall wurde 1906 angebaut. Das Anwesen mit den Nebengebäuden und zwei Brunnen wurde 1999 als Baudenkmal von besonderer Bedeutung ausgewiesen. Der Hof wurde bis 1992 bewirtschaftet. Dann wurden die Gebäude und Brunnen in meist ehrenamtlicher Arbeit restauriert. Ab Herbst 1998 wird das Haupthaus als Heimathaus (Kulturzentrum) genutzt. Die Hofanlage ist im Besitz der Stadt und wird von der Ernst Martin Groth-Stiftung verwaltet. It is a reed covered “Fachhallenhaus” (Northern-German type of farmhouse) in the form of a transit house. A cowshed was grown in 1906. The property with outbuildings and two wells was designated in 1999 as a monument of particular importance. The farm was managed until 1992. Then the buildings and fountains were restored in mostly honorary work. From autumn 1998 the main house is used as a cultural center. The farm is owned by the city and is managed by the Ernst Martin Groth Foundation.
