Description
Deutsch: Tornesch (Schleswig-Holstein) – Esinger Straße 90 – Historistische Villa Sander – Baujahr: 1901– Abbruch: 2014 – Photo 1984

English: Tornesch (Germany) – Esinger Straße 90 – Historistic Villa Sander – Year of construction: 1901– demolition: 2014 – Photo 1984

– The villa was built in 1901 by the farmer and council leader Wilhelm Sander in the style of historicism. The old farmyard of the family was across the street. The house originally also contained a small office. The son Eduard Sander founded the tree nursery Sander in 1906.

– The two-storey house was considered one of the most representative residential buildings in Tornesch. The basic form was structured by a risalit to the street side and a tower-like annexe at the southwest corner. Towards the street, the façade was brick-faced with yellow-red brick, broken up by darker stripes. The side walls also had plastered surfaces.

Although the villa was designated as a simple cultural monument, it was demolished in 2014.
