Tornesch (Germany) – Esinger Straße 108 – Residential building

Summary

[edit]
Description

English: Tornesch (Germany) – Esinger Straße 108 – Residential building

- The house was built in the Wilhelminian era and bought in 1909 by the couple Hinrich and Maria Heinitz. The family founded a bricklayer company in Esingen. The Social Democrat Hinrich Heinitz survived the Nazi period unscathed. Maria Heinitz (1884-1946) was the first female municipal representative of the municipality of Esingen in 1919.

- The house is a typical one-and-a-half-story building with lateral risalit and corner stiffening. The facade is designed as a combination of brick and plaster. The risalit windows are covered with ornamental gables and divided by a pilaster into two partitions. All windows were originally divided into three parts by sprouts. Even the roofing is not original, it used to be made of tar paper.
