150 kV lijn van centrale Langerbrugge via Eeklo Pokmoer naar substation Brugge Waggelwater

De tonmast heeft één toren met drie traversen en twee circuits. Het meest opvallende kenmerk en het enige onderscheid met een drievlaksmast is dat de middelste traverse langer is dan de onderste en bovenste, zodat de middelste fasedraden op een grotere afstand van de toren hangen. De geleiders staan daardoor in een enigszins zeshoekig ogende vorm.

Deze symmetrische configuratie minimaliseert inductie-effecten tussen de fasedraden en zorgt dat de drie fasedraden even zwaar belast worden bij wisseling in de faseposities. Ook is het magneetveld aan de grond kleiner. De tonconfiguratie is elektrotechnisch gezien de vorm waarbij een hoogspanningslijn het efficiëntst is en er het minste transportverlies is.

Opmerking: In tegenstelling tot wat tegenwoordig gebruikelijker is, heeft deze hoogspanningsleiding geen dubbele geleiders en is er slechts één enkele draad op de masttop als bliksemafleider. (Een langere top-traverse met twee bliksemdraden zou minder gevoelig zijn voor blikseminslagen).
