Summary

[edit]
Description

Viewed from the Ness Islands, Tomnahurich (The "Hill of the Fairies") is like an upturned boat on a flat plain.

Treed right to the top, Tomnahurich is the (now full) Cemetery of Inverness - there are graves right to the summit too.

Once lying in the County of Inverness, the hill is now well within the City Boundaries, witness the housing estate in front.

In the foreground is the huge grassed expanse of the public playing fields of Bught Park.
