Description
English: The tombstone of William Geisendorf, son of the Swiss vice-consul in Cannes, murdered on a train near Pietra-Liguria on 25 March 1889 at the age of 24 years. The stele used to be at the cemetery of Lancy in the canton of Geneva, Switzerland, but was moved upon the request of the family in 2002 to the parc of Tressy-Cordy in Lancy, formerly the estate of the Geisendorf family.
Français : Pierre tombale de William Geisendorf, fils du vice-consul suisse à Cannes, assassiné dans une train près de Pietra-Liguria le 25 mars 1889, à 24 ans. À l'origine, le monument funéraire se trouvait au cimetière de Lancy dans le canton de Genève en Suisse. Il se trouve depuis 2002 dans le parc de Tressy-Cordy à Lancy, ex-propriété de la famille Geisendorf.
Deutsch: Der Grabstein von William Geisendorf, dem Sohn des Vize-Konsuls in Cannes, ermordet im Alter von 24 Jahren in einem Zug bei Pietra-Liguria am 25. März 1889. Die Stele stand ursprünglich auf dem Friedhof von Lancy im Schweizer Kanton Genf. Auf Bitte der Familie wurde sie 2002 in den Park von Tressy-Cordy in Lancy verbracht, der einst den Geisendorfs gehörte.
