Summary
[edit]DescriptionTomb of eight killed in Harpers Ferry.jpg |
English: After w:John Brown's raid on Harpers Ferry no cemetery wanted the bodies of John Brown's 10 dead collaborators. Save for two bodies taken for dissection by students of Winchester Medical College, the eight other bodies were thrown into packing boxes and buried without cerermony, clergy, or marker. They were dug up and buried properly — at the John Brown Farm State Historic Site, in North Elba, New York — 40 years later. Location is on the east bank of the Shenandoah River. |
