Description
English: Tomb, Llanynys Church Chest tomb dating from the 1700's. The first noted on the tomb is Katherine Jones, daughter of John Pritchard - the patronymic "Jones" meaning "daughter of John". The 3rd person in the grave was Frances, the widow of a vicar, and according to the inscription on the stone "she bequeathed to the poor of the parishes of Llanynys and Cyffylliog the sum of one hundred pounds" to provide bread to be distributed weekly or fortnightly and also she left money to build a school.
