Summary
[edit]DescriptionTokyo Tower (8172202525).jpg |
Inspired by Blackpool Tower (Lancashire, England)... okay, actually the Eiffel Tower (Paris, France) and built in 1957 as a broadcasting and communications tower, Tokyo Tower was the tallest artificial structure in Japan until the Tokyo Skytree surpassed it in April 2010. However, it is still the tallest self-supporting steel structure in the world, yet weighs some 3,000 tonnes less than the Eiffel Tower. |
