Title
Toilet Item : Roman
Description
English: A complete cast copper-alloy toilet spoon of Roman date (AD 43-410). The spoon consists of a sub rectangular scoop with a retained, domed central rivet, a bent linear shaft, at its terminating end is a small circular, concave spoon or scoop.

These spoons are frequently referred to as ear scoops, however it is also suggested that those with both a circular and rectangular end were used for the removal of cosmetics from bottles and there application.

The metal is a dark brown in colour.
